Student Awards
Alyson Jones (Ethnomusicology) has received a 2009-2010 Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship to write up her research on women's ensembles in Tunisia
Abby Anderton (Historical Musicology) and Antonette Adiova (Ethnomusicology) have been given Rackham Humanities Research Candidacy awards for 2009 and 2010.
Fulbright Scholars (2009-2010)
Yona Stamatis (Ethnomusicology) has been awarded a Fulbright grant to continue her study of rebetika in Greece. In addition, she has received the Constantine Tsangadas Fellowship for research on post-Classical Greece to write her dissertation during the 2010-2011 school year.
Bretton Dimick (Ethnomusicology) has been given a Fulbright to study sung poetry in Vietnam.
