The Bachelor of Music in Performance: Piano with Teacher Certification (Curriculum B) is appropriate for pianists who wish to teach in elementary or secondary schools and also wish to focus on performance in addition to education.
Minimum repertoire for graduation includes such works as suites,
partitas, preludes and fugues of J. S. Bach; sonatas of Scarlatti,
Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven; small and large form compositions of
Schubert, Chopin, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Liszt; music of
Debussy and Ravel; music of Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Stravinsky,
Schoenberg, Prokofiev, Bartók, Copland, and so forth. This should total
at least three full recital programs and two concerti (one preferably by Mozart or Beethoven).
