Carol Richardson is respected as being at the cutting edge of thinking in the field of music education for children of various cultures. She is co-author of two important books for both music teachers and elementary classroom teachers. She is co-editor of the forthcoming Second Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning (Oxford University Press). She has written more than a dozen articles in major music education journals and has been a presenter at meetings sponsored by the American Educational Research Association and the Music Educators National Conference.
Prior to joining the Michigan faculty, Professor Richardon was a member of the faculty of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.
